Ecumenical Lord's Cupboard

You can help the Ecumenical Lord’s Cupboard.

They are always in need of the following items: tuna or canned meat, dry northern beans, instant potatoes, rice, peanut butter, jelly, pasta, toilet paper, bar soap, cereal, canned tomatoes, hamburger/tuna/chicken helper, pudding, jell-o, mac & cheese dinner, canned fruit, pork & beans, baked beans, juice, syrup, pancake mix, crackers, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, muffin mix, canned vegetables, soup, margarine, hamburger, hot dogs, chicken eggs, milk, bread.

In addition, monetary contributions help with the acquisition of the items the ELC cannot purchase at the Southern Iowa Food Bank.  The ELC must purchase milk, eggs, meats, margarine, bread and a lot of other commodities not distributed at the Food Bank.  Consequently, monetary donations are always appreciated.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
OPPORTUNITIES!!!!!

Many opportunities wait for you to join in at Davis Street in all areas of Christian Education.

Adult Christian Education Opportunities

There are many opportunities for adults to participate in a Sunday School Class on Sunday Morning.

Win-a-Couple: Chet Sedore leads a Bible Study focused on the New International Version.  Win-a-Couple meets in the Parlor, located in the south end of the main floor of the Christian Education Wing.

Dorcas Circle is taught by Paul Matthew in the church library, which is just south of the sanctuary.  This class studies from the Standard International Sunday School Lessons.

Focus is lead by John Ross in the room across the hall from the church office, in the education wing.

If you have a suggestion for a class topic, or would like to teach an adult class, please contact a member of the Christian Education Committee.

Got Soup?

Please remember that DSCC continues to collect labels from Campbell products.  This is a wonderful way to support Woodhaven.  Please place your labels in the “soup can” in the narthex.

We extend the Hand of Fellowship by allowing these groups to use our building on a regular basis:

TOPS: 5:15-6:30 p.m. every Monday.

TOPS: 8:30 a.m. every Friday.

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box.
